YANBU — Pak Crescent, Royal Commission and ESC Titans emerged champions in their respective divisions of the Sikander Farooqui Memorial Cricket Tournament, which was sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Yanbu Alsinaiya Cricket Association (YACA) here recently. In the Division-I final, Al-Moazzin won the toss and put Pak Crescent in to bat. Pak Crescent scored 136 for 5 through Mohsin 32 and Nadeem 53 (2 sixes and 5 fours). In reply, Al-Moazzin found the rival skipper Sarfaraz too hot to handle. Sarfaraz chipped in with 5 wickets for just 7 runs. Raja Fahad and Nadeem took 2 each. Sarfaraz was declared the Man-of-the-Final. In the Division-II final, Royal Commission, using the track first, posted 126 for 9 as Aamir scored 55 (2 fours and a six) and Tabrez added 16. Afzal took 3 wickets. Shah-XI, in response, was bundled out for 97 and lost the match by 29 runs. Tariq (23) and Ataullah (20) were the main scorers. Imran claimed 4 for 26 and Iqbal 3 for 13. In the Division-III Final, Samaref put up 117 for 7 against ESC Titans. Abbas Nadwi scored 48 and Rajesh 21. Irfan, Waqas and Bilal grabbed 2 wickets each. ESC Titans achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets in the 16th over. Khider (35), Irfan (33) and Anjum (30) were the notable scorers. Mudassir took 3 wickets. After the finals, an impressive prize distribution ceremony took place. YACA President Akram Qureshi, SCC officials Sadiqul Islam, Hamid Afandi and Sameer Nidal Khan gave away the awards. MCL officials Naeem Majid and Amanat Ali also graced the ceremony. Sadiqul Islam, speaking on the occasion, appreciated YACA for the successful completion of the tournament.
