Five killed, 11 hurt in Najran accident

NAJRAN — Five Ethiopian nationals were killed and 11 others were injured in a terrible road accident when their SUV rolled over on the road. According to police, the Ethiopians, all of them illegal residents, were on the way to Riyadh from Najran when the accident happened. Nine Saudi Red Crescent teams arrived at the location and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital. All victims sustained severe to medium injuries. Police attribute the accident to high speed. They said the driver lost control and crashed on the sidewall of the road. Among the injured was the Saudi driver who was smuggling the illegals. Police are still investigating.
