MADINAH — Five female teachers and their driver were injured as their bus collided with a truck on Madinah-Ruwaidat Al-Mahd Road on Monday. The teachers were on their way to their schools from Jeddah. Madinah Red Crescent spokesman Mahmoud Khayyat said three ambulances were dispatched to the scene and provided first aid. The five teachers and the truck driver sustained mild to medium injuries and were transferred to Al-Hamnah General Hospital. Head of the hospital, Marzouq Al-Metairi, said the hospital staff was put on full alert to receive and deal with the victims. Head of Madinah's traffic safety Col. Omar Al-Nazawi said investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
