Mukbul Ahmed Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — Bangladesh International School (BIS) students have excelled in the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), held in May-June session 2013, making their institution, teachers and families proud once again. Madiha Chowdhury was the top scorer in additional mathematics and Nowrin Yasmin in English as a Second Language. Fahim Abdullah scored the highest in Biology results in CIE's A-Level in Saudi Arabia. Abdullah secured the second position in Saudi Arabia in the “Best Across Four Cambridge International A Levels” and Hassan Zamil Sarker bagged the third position in the same category. “This is not the first time that students of BIS Dammam have achieved outstanding performance,” said Principal Col. (Retd) Md. Saleh Uddin Khan. “Our students have been obtaining brilliant results every year.” Last year, four students won the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, an award which recognizes exceptional learners' performance around the world.
Abul Kalam Azad, senior vice principal, and senior teachers Rijuanul Islam Taufiq and Mamun-ar-Rashid, heads of departments of Mathematics, Biology and English respectively, congratulated the students for their outstanding performance.
