JEDDAH — The Board of Trustees of Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology (BMC) held its second meeting of the third session in the academic year 2013-2014 under the chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Batterjee, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The meeting was held at the college's main campus in North Obhur, Jeddah. The Council discussed the academic and administrative progress of work at the college, reviewed the proposals submitted by the College Board. The Board also discussed the points on the agenda that included the overall strategy for the coming years, nominations, number of students, curriculums and specialties. The Council stressed the need to maintain the good reputation and high standard reached by the college and plan for further development. The Council expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the wise leadership for their continuous and unlimited support offered to the Private Sector in Higher Education. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hassan Shaibah, BMC Dean, Dr. Essam Mattar, academic adviser and supervisor of private universities and colleges at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Ghazi Damanhouri, Director of the King Fahd Center for Medical Research at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Amin Al-Harabi, Head of ENT Department in the Faculty of Medicine AT Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Hatem Kotb, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine AT Dammam University, and Dr. Essam Azhar, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University. — SG
