JEDDAH — As part of the plan to enhance quality of education and achieve academic excellence, a delegation from Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology recently visited the Office of Academic and Training Affairs at King Faisal Specialist Hospital (KFSH). The delegation, consisting of Dr. Hassan Shaibah, BMC dean; Dr. Ashraf Balba, head of the medicine program; Dr. Reham Wagdy, head of the pediatrics department and internship supervisor; and Dr. Abdul Maboud Saleh, clinical training coordinator; met with Dr. Omar Al-Ammari, vice dean of Academic and Training Affairs at King Faisal Specialist Hospital; and Dr. Ghassan Mansouri, training and development manager. The meeting discussed means of effective cooperative partnerships between BMC and KFSH. The delegation wished to benefit from KFSH expertise in training BMC's medicine program interns. Dr. Shaibah said BMC is constantly working to develop the academic system in order to raise the level of quality and this could be achieved through effective local and international partnerships with leading medical institutions, universities, and hospitals. These cooperative partnerships can be utilized as joint agreements in the future, he noted.
