I am writing with regard to the post “Provide opportunities for the poor” (Mar. 26). If people spend money and buy things, they will be helping to keep businesses open that pay the salaries of workers who feed their families. Good tips should be given when good service is received. This should be done instead of giving money to people who don't work but have more and more children and cry that their children are dying and hungry. There is no good point in helping these people. Why should we donate money to someone we have never met? I would rather give a tip to someone who has provided a service. He will be proud of himself. Avid1111, Online response
