With regard to the report “Lack of lights in Jeddah district angers residents” (Mar. 25), it is not only Bagdadiyah which has this problem. The same situation exists in Sharafiyah. These are central and heavily populated areas with families and children. I live at Asal Al-Balagah street which is in Sharafiyah. There are no street lights and total darkness at night. When will Jeddah Municipality awake? Sharu Abdu, Online response II. They erected light poles in our neighborhood in North Obhur two years ago in Ramadan. Last year they finally put the tops on them, and two months ago they seemed to connect the electricity. But there is still nothing. So we have light poles in total darkness. At least one pole gets hit by a car every week. This is madness!
