A fire broke out in a toy shop in a shopping mall here on Monday. Security personnel, who arrived at the scene immediately on getting the report, evacuated all those in the mall before dousing the fire. Lt. Col. Waleed Abu Shanab, deputy Makkah Civil Defense spokesman, said five firefighting teams attended to the fire and contained it before it could engulf other shops. He noted that the mall was evacuated as a precautionary measure. Investigations are continuing to determine the cause of the fire.
