RIYADH — The Super 8 Round of MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah (CKB) T20 Tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and sponsored by MoneyGram Transfer Service saw the favorites go down here recently.
In the Chairman Division, Sulaiman-XI surprised Lahore Badshah by a 3-wicket win. Lahore Badshah scored 203-7 with a blistering knock of 116 by Abdul Wahab. Kamran, Mudassir and Faisal claimed 2 wickets each. Sulaiman-XI achieved the target in 19.4 overs. Shakeel Ahmed added 52 and Sulaiman 29.
Star-XI beat Lahore Cricket Club by 18 runs. Batting first, Star-XI posted 184 runs. Bilal hit 64 and Amjad 45. Lahore Cricket Club was all out in 18.1 overs.
Yousafzai-XI outclassed favorites Pak Shaheen by 14 runs. Batting first, Yousafzai posted 212. Ayaz scored 60 and Tariq 40. Iftikhar Khan took 3 wickets and Ateeq 2. Pak Shaheen was restricted to 198-8. Ibrar hit 57 and Wahab Khan 40. Ayaz bagged 3 wickets and Altaf 2.
Aamir Holidays thrashed Crescent by 8 wickets. Taking the strike first, Crescent was all out for 74. Nadeem Bhatti was the wrecker-in-chief as he took 7 wickets in his quota of 4 overs. Aamir Holidays achieved the target in 9 overs. Irfan Mushtaq blasted 61 and Samiullah 11.
In the President Division, KFSH Blues beat Pak Fighters by 135 runs. Batting first, KFSH Blues posted a huge total of 226. Ayaz Sharif hit 71, Nasir Abbasi 58 and Irshad Mubasshir 52. Zafar, Waqas and Waseem picked one wicket each. Pak Fighters in reply scored 91. Hilal added 21. Imtiaz took 3 wickets, while Raja Gulraiz and Syed Usman grabbed 2 wickets each.
CKK trounced Green Bangla by 10 wickets. Green Bangla put on 163 runs. Aminul and Kakon scored 54 and 40 runs, respectively, Nabeel and Omar shared 2 wickets each. CKK achieved the target in 13.4 overs without loss. Sajid Nawaz played a blistering innings of 100 and Nouman Asghar hit 52.
In other matches, Shuraim beat Stallions, while KFSH Green upset Lahore Lions. – SG
