UHUD RUFAIDAH — A member of the Commission of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) was assaulted Thursday while on duty, according to Haia spokesman Sheikh Awad Al-Asmari. The Haia sent some of its members to a girls' school following a report that an undocumented worker was seen climbing the wall of the school. While Haia members and police officers were checking the school premises, which were evacuated, a citizen attacked one of the Haia members, inflicting serious injuries to him. The cause of the attack is not clear yet. The Haia member remains to be hospitalized and police have started an investigation.
