With reference to the article “Divorcing on bloodline inequality” by Dr. Khaled M. Batarfi (Feb. 18), how can I consider myself to be superior to any other human being and be a Muslim at the same time? How can a judge ask another person to prove his or her equality to another person? This is beyond my understanding. We are also talking about racism here. Tribalism is another form of racism and it should have no place in any society that wants to develop for the good of its people. Best way is to teach people that we are all the same, it just happens that some people are born luckier. XZaky, Online response II. Again racism rears it s ugly in this case. When are people going to understand that tribalism is just another name for of racism? I suppose Muslims claim to be Muslims but some don't want to put into practice Islam and continue to practice the leadership of archaic traditions. Forcing a couple to divorce based on the idea that their bloodline is incompatible is both unIslamic and racist. Causing a man and woman to divorce is one of Satan's love of evil deeds. So I hope judges who rule in favor of such divorces realize that they are pleasing the devil. Donald D, Online response
