JEDDAH — The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) has called on the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP) to hire female investigators. During a visit to the BIP's newly-built branch headquarters in Jeddah, NSHR supervisor Omar Hafiz suggested that the BIP should consider employing Saudi female law graduates as investigators. He said the move will protect the privacy of women under investigation and will grant them greater freedom and comfort when talking to investigators. The new building has a large section for women staffed by female employees.
