JEDDAH — Two Yemenis and an Egyptian have been arrested by police for allegedly posing as security officers, said Jeddah Police spokesman First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq. The three-member gang robbed several places and people using fake guns and handcuffs. During investigations, they confessed to raising over SR500,000 from thefts. They only raided the shops run by expatriates in order to scare them and make them pay money, said police. They also allegedly set up checkpoints on certain streets frequented by undocumented workers, who were their main targets.
