Saudi Gazette report MADINAH — An accident on Al-Hijrah Road near Madinah claimed the lives of three women teachers. Three other teachers and the driver were injured in the accident, which happened as the vehicle they were in was traveling from Al-Mahd governorate to Madinah city. Traffic police, the Civil Defense and Red Crescent attended the scene. Two teachers died at the scene while the third died after arriving at King Fahd Hospital. Senior officials from the Madinah Health Affairs were present at the hospital. Hospital sources said the injuries of three teachers and driver were medium to serious. Head of the roads security force Maj. Gen. Sameer Al-Asadi said the vehicle swerved and overturned several times. Director of Al-Mahd Education Directorate's media department, Ayedh Al-Wasmi, said head of the directorate Saeed Al-Jeraisi conveyed the condolences of Madinah Emir Prince Faisal Bin Salman to the teachers' families. A team of women from the directorate will visit the injured in hospital, he said.
