LIENZ, Austria — Jessica Lindell-Vikarby of Sweden edged Austrian duo Anna Fenninger and Kathrin Zettel to lead a women's World Cup giant slalom after the opening run Saturday. Lindell-Vikarby, who leads the discipline standings, finished the Schlossberg course in 1 minute, 8.63 seconds, 0.02 seconds ahead of Fenninger and 0.04 faster than Zettel. American teenager Mikaela Shiffrin, who is chasing her first GS win, came 0.35 back in fourth. Lindell-Vikarby won a giant slalom in Beaver Creek on Dec. 1 and finished runner-up to Tessa Worley in St. Moritz two weeks ago. Lindsey Vonn is sitting out the race to rest her injured right knee. — AP
