ST MORITZ, Switzerland — Tina Maze emerged as the woman to beat in the Alpine skiing world Cup when she won her third victory of the season in a super-combined event Friday. The Slovenian, winner of the two giant slaloms held so far, was fastest in both legs for a combined time of two minutes 1.76 seconds. Maze, the giant slalom world champion, beat Austrians Nicole Hosp and Kathrin Zettel, who trailed the World Cup leader by 0.88 and 1.08 seconds respectively. Germany's Maria Hoefl-Riesch was fourth, 1.19 adrift, while American Lindsey Vonn failed to complete the afternoon's slalom run. — AP
