RIYADH — Sikandar Farooqui Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament, organized by RCL, is set for finals in different divisions here.
In Super Division, Pakhtoon Khawah CC and Mehran CC qualified for the final. In Premier-I Division, Super CC and Mughal CC will fight it out for the honors and Kashmir Press and Diamond CC will play in Premier-II final.
The highlights during the semifinal matches were outstanding batting by Faheem Abbas Shah, Shabab and Mohammed Hussain and a fine all-round performance by Sajjad Shah.
In Super Division semis, Pakhtoon Khawah CC routed NAB CC by 4 wickets. Batting first, NAB was bowled out for 148 runs. Imran Khan scored 58, while Jamil Khan made 25 and Kamran 16. Rana Munir grabbed 3 wickets, while Farhad, Haroon and Iqbal took 2 each. Khalid got 1. In reply, Pakhtoon Khawah achieved the target in 17 overs. Khalid hit 45 and Iqbal 39. Haroon and Farhad made 19 runs each, while Naveed scored 17. Nazir, Imran Khan and Abbas took 1 wicket each. Man-of-the-Match: Khalid.
In the second semis, Mehran CC routed Ever Green CC. Batting first, Mehran scored 215. Faheem Abbas Shah played an aggressive innings of 110 with 15 boundaries and 3 sixes. He was supported by Anwer Zeb (45). In reply, Ever Green collapsed for 98. Majed claimed 4 wickets. Man-of-the-Match: Faheem Abbas Shah.
In the Premier-I Division semifinal, Mughal CC got the better of Royal Fighters CC by 22 runs. Batting first, Mughal CC set a target of 192. Sajjad Shah made 81 with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Imran hit 27. Sajad Junior made 31 and Asghar 12. Sharih took 2 wickets, while Mateen, Madani and Asif got 1 each.
In reply, Royal Fighters made 169 through Sidiqulla 41, Qaiser 39 and Maddani 36. Sajjad Junior claimed 3 wickets, while Asghar took 2. Qaiser and Sajjad Shah got 1 each. Man-of-the-Match: Sajjad Shah.
In the other semis, Super CC defeated Bhatkal CC by 7 wickets. Batting first, Bhatkal CC made 173. Khaleel scored 48 and Sameer 37. Ibrahim hit 21. Babar Mirza and Adnan Malik took 2 wickets each, while Babar Junior and Faraz claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Super CC achieved the target in 15.2 overs. Mohammed Hussain hit a splendid hundred — unbeaten 101 with 15 fours and 1 six. Mohammed Shafeeq made 20 and Adnan Malik 18. Ibraheem took 2 wickets, while Tahoor claimed 1. Man-of-the-Match: Mohammed Hussain.
In first semifinal of Premier-II Division, Diamond CC beat Karachi Titans by 7 wickets. Batting first, Karachi Titans managed 138. In reply, Diamond CC hit the total in 17 overs. Aamir cracked an unbeaten 54 with 6 boundaries. Waseem made a valuable 33 and Umar 12. Rizwan and Imran claimed one wicket each. Man-of-the-Match: Aamir.
In the second semis, Kashmir Press CC got the better of Cricketers Club by 2 runs. Batting first, Kashmir Press made 184. Shabab blasted a splendid unbeaten century (105) with 11 fours and 2 sixes. Mustafa hit 25 and Shafiq 13. Zeeshan and Assad took 1 wicket each. In reply, Cricketers Club just missed the target by 2 runs. Man-of-the-Match: Shabab.
