The article "Madinah traders call young Saudis ‘lazy'" (Nov. 18) is a wake-up call for the Saudi youth to take over the jobs left behind by expats who were forced to go home and prove to the world that they are efficient and productive. Noble, Online response II. It should not come as a surprise for Saudi businessmen to see young Saudis work for just a short while and then leave and never come back. They were not trained to work. Saudi businessmen should realize that it is part of the youth's upbringing, of a culture wherein the see their parents sitting all day drinking tea or coffee. They just copy what their parents were doing. It is high time for the parents and the government to inculcate among the youth to adapt to the changing situation and adopt new habits and attitude toward work. This will help much in curbing the country's huge unemployment problem. Manong, Online response III. Businessmen want to make big profit and control the workers. But with the current situation, it may not be possible anymore. Saudi businessmen should help train Saudi workers. Avid, Online response
