This refers to the article "Hayat Sindi to serve on UN body" by Saleh Fareed (Nov. 3). Good stuff. What an achievement for a woman in this country. Perhaps another bright cleric will come out and say that this will damage her ovary as they say about women who are driving. Saudi men must be quivering in their boots knowing that a woman is smarter than they are — well at least some of them. Ron in Australia, Online comments II. Another feather to the cap of Saudi women. Who says that Saudi women cannot or will not be at par with the men? The women are motivated to excel in every endeavor they want to be. The government should support Saudi women 100 percent in their pursuit for the development and progress of the country. Manong, Online response III. Bravo Hayat Sindi! You are a pride of Saudi women and, surely, a role model for them. Every Saudi woman should try to emulate her and reach the heights that she wants to reach. I am sure the parents, sibblings and relatives of Hayat Sindi must be very proud of her. Young Saudi women should take a cue that hard work and focus pay dividends. More power to Hayat Sindi!
