Aqeel blasts century in EPCA

DAMMAM — The EPCA Sikander Farooqui Memorial T20 Tournament in EPCA, which is being sponsored and organized by Saudi Cricket Centre here, saw 11 matches in the sixth week recently.
Premier Division
AIMS Bin Dilamah, batting first against Sikander Farooqui Club, tallied 144 through Rajesh and Jaffer who made 28 each. Iftikhar Khan took 3 wickets and Faraz 2. Sikander Farooqui Club, in reply, reached made 146-5 in 88 balls with Irfan Farooqui scoring 37. Shoaib took 2 wickets.
TFT posted 141-8 against DHL as Umer hit 12 fours to compile 60. Mohammed Imran took 3 wickets and Raja 2. DHL, in reply, reached 142-6 through Kashan Raheel (54) and Rehan (40). Humayun claimed 2 wickets.
Kanoo batted first against Al-Tuwariqui to pile up 198, thanks to skipper Munawwer and Abdulwahid, who made 59 and 58, respectively. Waqas and Tajammul took 3 wickets each and Ather grabbed 2. Al-Tuwariqui, in reponse, fell short by 6 runs. Asif hit 56 and Khawar 48. Danish of Kanoo grabbed 4-31.
Al-Ghamdi-XI, batted first against Gulf Steel, to get to 203-5 through Abdulrauf hammering 98 in 57 balls with 2 sixes and 13 hits to the fence. Gulf Steel stormed to 204-8 in the 18th over as Asher stroked 69 and Wirasat 47. Anwer and Ahsan scalped 2 wickets each.
Marooj Rawan batted first against Gyptic H. Dolphins to make 176-9. Mohammed Waheed scored 23 and Noman 43. Saad, Zohair and Najeeb took 2 wickets each. Gyptic H. Dolphins were home with 178-7 in the 19th over. Zohair blasted 34 and Usman 32. Majid and Naved took 2 wickets each.
First Division
Harley Dividson, using the track first against Kashmir-XI, piled up 212-6 through Yaser Mehmood (64) and Yaser Akram (52). Shoukat Sabir grabbed 3 wickets. Kashmir-XI, responding to this huge tally, was bowled out for 144. Shoukat Sabir scored 49, Mohammed 32 and Ayaz 32. Usman, Sheraz, Arshad and Anwer claimed two wickets each.
Eastern Arabia, batting first against Khobar Badshah, racked up 190-6 through Afwaen (46), Santosh (36) and Tahir (56). Ali Iftikhar took 3 wickets. Khobar Badshah was then restricted to 156. Haider made 31 and Saqib 30. Tahir claimed 4-21 and Yoga 2.
Friends blasted 277-4 against Bin Zaqar as Aqeel smashed 5 sixes and 19 fours in an impressive 129 in just 49 balls. Naser made 43. Yaser took 2 wickets. Bin Zaqar, in reply, was bundled out for 87. Ilyas and Kareem got two wickets each.
Bin Dilamah ADPCO plundered 241-7 through Nabeel (42), Mohsin (50) and Mohammed Tanveer (52). Kanan took 4-26 for Deccan Chargers. Deccan Chargers, in reply, made 204 to lose by 37 runs. Mohammed Azeem hit 60. Mohammed Mohsin claimed 3 wickets.
Al-Bawardi hammered 167-5 against EI Plus Arabia as Mohamed Pervez made 61. Owais and Shahid took 2 wickets each. EI Plus Arabia, in reply, was all out for 144. Saleem made 33. Shaikh and Pervez scalped 3 and 2 wickets each, respectively.
Gladiators, batting against Young Stars, made 165 as Mubeen hit 24. Usama and Rizwan got 3 wickets each. Young Stars reached 166-7 in the 19th over. Rizwan smashed 61. Iqbal and Tahir grabbed 2 wickets each.
