The article "Relatives bury young victim of car crash" by Suad Al-Shamrani (Nov. 4) raises the question: when will the traffic police come down to reality? I have read in this paper itself that expats are the ones who pay more fines for traffic violations and yet most of those who are injured or died in traffic accidents are the natives. Police officers are often biased against the expats when they are involved in traffic accidents with the natives, thus making the natives think that they can always get away with traffic violations. I hope traffic officers will help ensure safety by enforcing rules strictly, regardless of nationality. An expat, Online response II. If the young man who ran over the victim is guilty of wreckless driving, he should be charged with murder and be required to pay blood money to the family of the victims. Strict enforcement of the law will teach other drivers to be careful. Mike, Online response
