ABHA — A conman, who deceived an elderly man and took SR18,000 from him, has been nabbed, according to Asir Police spokesman Lt. Col. Abdullah Al-Shathan. The man approached the victim while the latter was having difficulty trying to withdraw money from an ATM. He offered to take the victim to another ATM in his car. Trusting him, the victim waited for him in the car while the imposter went outside to withdraw money for the old man. He replaced the victim's bank card with another one after withdrawal and gave it to him. A few days later, the victim discovered that SR18,000 was deducted from his account. He froze his card, and reported the incident to the police.
