The emblematic Mégane performance models are taking on the new Renault design identity. Alongside the new design features, Mégane R.S. has gained the R.S. Replay function, available on R.S. Monitor 2.0. The GT trim is now available with the 2.0T Renault Sport 220 engine. Topping the Mégane range, the R.S. version was designed to deliver maximum driving pleasure. With its 2.0 16V 265 engine, limited slip differential, front suspension with an independent steering axis and a choice between two chassis types (Sport or Cup), Mégane R.S. groups a range of technologies illustrating the complete expertise of Renault Sport. The styling of Mégane R.S. gains even more character with the brand's new design identity. The new bonnet features a larger Renault logo set off by a gloss black background. The new headlights, contributing to the appeal of the new line, gain gloss black ‘eyelids'. Featuring a lens and white comma design, these headlights amplify the light beam for excellent lighting at night. As a nod to Renault's success in Formula 1, the new front bumper features an F1 splitter, a styling feature found across the Renault Sport range. New Mégane R.S. now comes with features based on those introduced with the limited series Mégane R.S. Red Bull Racing RB8: • Recaro seats with dual-fabric leather-cloth upholstery and Renault Sport embroidery on the head restraints, the Renault R-Link connected multimedia tablet, with version 2.0 of the R.S. Monitor 2.0 data acquisition system compatible with the new R.S. Reserved for fans of exclusive design, the optional R.S. Design pack includes exterior features painted red: F1 splitter, lower door protectors and rear spoiler. New Mégane GT and GT-Line are distinctive vehicles that add excitement to everyday driving. Their styling reflects their sporting heritage and “GT Renault Sport” signature. Although the bumper skin is shared with other models in the Renault range, the lower grille and white headlamp guides are specific. The black headlight surround is also specific to these versions. Depending on the country, Mégane GT is also available with the 2.0T Renault Sport 220 gasoline engine, based on the 2.0 16V 265 seen on Mégane R.S. This efficient, responsive engine - launched with the Mégane Estate GT 220 limited series - develops 220 hp for maximum torque of 340 Nm with Stop and Start technology. Fuel consumption is kept under control at 7.3l/100 km for emissions of 169 g of CO2/km. The emissions/power ratio is therefore highly favorable. Mégane GT and GT-Line are available in hatchback, coupé and estate versions (depending on the country) with a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines. — SG
