With its red Brembo four-piston brake callipers, striking yellow color and exclusive Renault F1 Team and world champion badging, Renault GCC has recently announced the arrival of the much- awaited Clio Renault F1 Team R27 in Saudi Arabia. Also launched alongside the French F1 sensation was its predecessor, the Clio Renault Sport (RS) 197. Both versions of the Clio Renault Sport will be sold as limited edition series across the GCC to maintain its exclusivity. Priced from SR88,000 (F1 Team R27) and SR83,000 (RS 197) onwards, these new wheels of envy are available at Zahid Tractor showrooms. “Bringing the Clio Renault F1 Team and RS 197 as a limited edition was a thought-out decision. We wanted to maintain the uniqueness of these high performance hatches and give owners that extra edge or prestige value of owning a car that is exclusive to only a select few,” said Mohamed Bennani, managing director of Renault GCC. “The arrival of Renault's sport series, communicating its ‘sport' and ‘fun' brand values, also marks the first of 10 new models that will be launched across the GCC by 2010,” he added. Derived from racing technologies, both cars are designed to offer optimum performance and driving pleasure powered by a 200hp - 2.0 liter (manual gearbox) -16V engine delivering 215Nm of torque. The cars were tested locally to ensure they were suitable for local driving conditions. “Reliability and robustness has been reinforced in each car offering optimum performance. Renault along with its local dealers is also offering an extended warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers,” added Bennani. “The warranty will be applicable to all Renault models demonstrating our confidence in the durability and quality of the new line-up.” Apart from the bright yellow paint finish which is exclusively for the R27 model, both cars will also be available in three metallic colors (deep black, monako blue and makana grey) and three non-metallic colors (toro red, white glacier and dynamo blue). The Clio Renault Sport series were designed to mark Renault's back-to-back F1 constructor world championships and offers motor sport enthusiasts some pedigree of power. __
