Concha Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – The Filipino Toastmasters Club in the Western Region is inviting fellow Oversea Filipino Workers (OFWs) residing in Jeddah and vicinity to enhance their communication skills in Filipino as well as their leadership ability in their weekly training sessions. The Council Toastmasters Club President, Mar Par Jr, said their campaign was launched for Filipinos who were born and grew up abroad or have spent half their life outside the Philippines, and can hardly speak or understand their own native language. Par said members of KAMFI and OPM Toastmasters Club in Filipino Language already visited several companies that have a large number of Filipino workers. “We visited our friends and their colleagues for three consecutive Fridays and encouraged them to join and be part of this advocacy of enhancing their own language as well as develop their confidence in communications,” said Par Jr. Even though the club is in Filipino language, the group said, everyone is welcome to attend regardless of nationality as long as they are willing to learn and speak Filipino because in Toastmasters there is no distinction.
