nasair has received its first 4 new Airbus A-320 as part of its deal to purchase 10 new aircraft which are all scheduled to be delivered during the current year of 2013. It is in line with nasair's efforts to increase its fleet of Airbus A320s to provide for the ever-increasing demand of its customers. It also highlights the continued growth of the airline which has expansion plans both within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Raja Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of nasair, said the 4 new aircraft are the first to be received by nasair in 2013 and is to be followed by an additional 6 aircraft, aside from the 16 aircraft already in the fleet. Megat Ardian, Chief Commercial Officer of nasair, said the arrival of the new aircraft comes at an opportune time as the holy of Ramadan approaches where the demand is at its peak. He noted that nasair will be adding 32,000 seats a day and shall have 12 daily return flights from Riyadh to Jeddah at the start of Ramadan. Since its inception in 2007, nasair has carried more than 11 million and has more than 950 weekly flights and operates 88 routes both in and outside Saudi Arabia. – SG
