nasair, the Saudi national carrier, celebrated last week the launch of its first flight from Dammam to Yanbu, and it also celebrated the first international flight to Khartoum from Dammam. This step comes in response to the demand of nasair customers in the Eastern Province. Chief Executive Officer François Bouteiller said “Saudi Arabia Eastern Province strategic location, with its continuous growth of travel demand, encouraged nasair to expand its operation from King Fahad International Airport with adding new domestic and international routes to serve our customer needs in this region”. Turki Al Jawini, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, said “operating nasair new route between Dammam and Yanbu by 3 flights weekly, and the new route between Dammam and Khartoum by 2 flights weekly is one of the most important routes in 2013, these destinations shall accomplish huge success according to the actual indicators. He clarified that the continuity of this success will trigger the increased number of flights to these destinations and that nasair will definitely work on increasing new domestic and international operating from King Fahad International Airport. With increasing destinations for nasair from the eastern region, nasair also celebrated the opening of its new Sales Office in Jubail to serve nasair clients and increase the number of suitable locations for customers to be able to buy their tickets with ease and convenience. Jawini said during the inauguration ceremony of the new office in Jubail that “with this new office in Jubail, nasair offices in the Eastern region serve now our clients in the city of Dammam, Al-Khobar and Jubail, giving more options to our customers to select the nearest location.” Bouteiller added that since the inception of nasair in 2007 in Saudi Arabia, it had transported more than 10 million passengers. He added that nasair is definitely considered as the pioneering “smart airline”. Nasair has 88 routes within and outside Saudi Arabia. — SG
