With regard to the letter “Rise in expatriates's wages” (June 18), it is not true that expatriate workers are demanding and receiving higher wages because of the ongoing amnesty when many expatriate workers are leaving to return to their countries. Instead what is happening is that companies are taking advantage of those who are trying to transfer their sponsorship. One of my friends who is an electronic and communication engineer with three years of experience was only offered a SR 3000 package (all inclusive).
