Muhsin Al-Hazmi Okaz/Saudi Gazette AL-QUNFUDHAH – The Jeddah-Qunfudhah highway witnessed a chase of a different kind on Thursday. Motorists were taken aback when they saw a woman scampering away from a man chasing her with a pistol in his hand. Eyewitnesses alerted the police, which arrived at the scene – about five kilometers from Rahman village – with sirens blaring. It came to light that the person in hot pursuit of the woman was her husband. The woman, who was traveling with her husband in a car, escaped after the husband parked the car on a roadside. He called her back, but she refused and took to her heels. He followed suit brandishing a pistol. The highway drama seemed to be the result of an argument between the couple. The police detained the couple for questioning.
