JEDDAH — More than 30 companies took part in the Job Fair at the Consulate General of Pakistan here on Friday. Around 1,500 Pakistanis made the most of the opportunity. The interviews continued late into the night as many thronged the Consulate to avail this opportunity. Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher thanked the companies for their interest in hiring competent Pakistanis. He again urged the community to make the most of the amnesty to correct their status before the July 3. A four-member consulate committee under Deputy Consul General Imran Ahmed Siddiqui is coordinating with the companies. The other members of the team are Consul Welfare Dr. Mazhar Kakakhel, Consul Commercial Abdul Wahab Somro and Manager Nadra Abdul Haseeb Mian. The consulate plans to hold more such fairs before the deadline expires. Consulate gets MRP passports The Consulate General of Pakistan has received all pending Machine Readable Passports(MRP) from Pakistan and there is no further delay in delivery of passports on due date. Expatriate Pakistanis, who had applied for passports with ordinary as well as urgent fees have been collecting their passports. All those who have not received their passports can now collect their passports from MRP delivery section during working days. — SG
