JEDDAH — In view of the delay in receiving machine-readable passports from Islamabad, the Consulate General of Pakistan has set up an information desk to streamline passport delivery. All members of the community who have applied for machine-readable passports, both emergency and ordinary, will be informed through SMS to collect their passports as soon as they arrive from Pakistan, according to a press statement issued on Wednesday. Pakistanis in the region can call at 0562760830 and record their names, mobile numbers and tracking numbers. The consulate will then inform them about the delivery status of their passports. — SG
