RIYADH – Prolific Fathi Abdulaziz, wearing the jersey of the Itqan Tenpin Wizards, and the Magnificent-5 keglers rocked the lanes to capture the Best Bowler and the Best Team of the Week awards, respectively, in the 8th Week of the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) Friday Afternoon Bowling Leaggue, 3rd Conference here recently. The league is being held at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) and organized by the IBG Advocates, headed by Ian Choco and supported by Nelson de Vera of Thales. The week's best bowler Fathi Abdulaziz powered Itqan Tenpin Wizards to nip Saudi-Oger 19-16. Fathi topscored by posting a four-game series handicap of 931. Fathi, equipped with 31 handicaps, carded 221, 178, 246 and 202. Next to Fathi were Thong Asuncion (855), Fareed Aquino (740) and Rodel Molina (739). Doy del Moral contributed 556 series in three games, while Ian Choco had 174 in one game outing. Jeffrey Sobrevic shone to lead Saudi-Oger by tallying a four-game series of 876. Joselito Santillan came next by knocking down a series of 796 in four matches. Erwin Atienza and Arnold Pineda hit 788 and 720. Mario Cantina and Eric Gonzales pocketed 385 and 316 series in two outings. Magnificent-5 dismantled Roll and Bowl by collecting 24 big points against 8 points registered by the Roll and Bowl. Leading scorers in the week's best team were Clem Ojeda (833), Anas Hamid (829) and Mar Queyquep (823). Jun Daniel shot 721 points, while Omar Valdez and Alex Arada pinned down 405 and 380 points, respectively. Ernie Tulang, Andy Carasig and Jove Marano led the Roll and Bowl by posting separate series of 823, 763 and 745. Precy Ojena collected 584 series in three games. Angel Vipers scored another victory against Itqan Tornado, 22-14, through the sterling performances of Angel Caasi (899), James Boyd (896), Dawood Sereno (793), Reiner Torres (765) and Leo Tolete (701). Angel Viper's victory took the team to the second spot. Freddie Santiago fired 876 points to be at the helm in Itqan Tornado. Reynald Medina and Ruben Babasa submitted separate series of 861 and 803.
