Saeed Al-Khotani Saudi Gazette RIYADH — The Ministry of Health has decided to deploy a specialized medical team to study the case of two obese siblings currently undergoing treatment at Dammam's Medical Tower. A source at the ministry told Saudi Gazette here on Tuesday that the team would be assigned to assess the cases of Majed and Rana and recommend proper treatment for them. The ministry, he said, has started contacting renowned international medical centers to get the team formed as soon as possible. Saudi Gazette reported Monday that Prince Saud Bin Naif, Emir of the Eastern Province, has agreed to bear the entire cost of treatment of the siblings and their transport to Cleveland Hospital in the US. Sources told Saudi Gazette in a phone cal that Majed and Rana are currently being taken good care of since they were admitted for treatment several months ago. Majed weighs 350 kg while his sister Rana weighs 300 kg.
