NCB's Saudization scheme honored
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 06 - 2013

JEDDAH – Prince Mish'al Bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah, presented the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) award to the National Commercial Bank (NCB) for employing most Saudi graduates from the Institute in 2012. The opening ceremony of Graduate and Career Day was held at IPA premises in Jeddah under the patronage of Prince Mish'al.
Bleihid N. Al Bleihid, NCB Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Group Human Resources Sector, received the award. Prince Mish'al also presented a plaque and a certificate of appreciation to NCB for sponsoring the ceremony.
Prince Mish'al visited NCB's section in the accompanying exhibition and listened to a detailed presentation by NCB's Head of Human Resources Sector on NCB plans and programs on employment and Saudization in all branches of the bank throughout the Kingdom.
“NCB participation to attract graduates by attending and sponsoring such exhibitions and Graduate and Career Day events confirms the bank's adherence to accomplish its national and social commitments that come in line with the directions for the national corporations and institutions to support the national calibers who are able to contribute in various development fields as the first and real factor to make a success for businesses.” Al Bleihid said.
He added: “NCB winning the Institute's plaque of this year reflects NCB excellent efforts to attract, train and employ the national human resources. In addition, Prince Misha'al bin Majed's sponsorship of this ceremony demonstrates our government's great support and endeavors to provide job opportunities for youth.
Al Belihid said Saudization constitutes a key element of NCB strategy, where it is correlated with the development of bank's capabilities and expansion of activities. This will be reflected on the bank's performance, revenues and contribution in supporting the national economy.
“In NCB HR sector, we build our priorities on many elements: supporting the business sectors, introducing programs and services that help our employees achieve their goals in a professional work environment, in addition to attracting and training the Saudi talents to meet our current and future needs. At NCB, we not only attract Saudi employees, but we also qualify, train and develop their skills using our well-planned scientific programs that help them achieve the highest performance standards,” he noted. – SG
