In recognition of its efforts in Saudization and developing human resources, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) was honored by the Deputy Minister of Labor Dr. Abdul Wahid Al-Hamid during the graduation ceremony held recently for the graduates of the Vocational Diploma programs and the Certification programs for the year 1429/1430. The ceremony was organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the auspices of the Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi. Faraj Almonajam, head of Learning & Performance in the Human Resources Department at NCB, who received the honorary shield from the Deputy Minister of Labor, said “we are glad and honored to receive this prestigious recognition. The award is a source of pride to the bank and it is an extension of the support the business sector receives from the Ministry of Labor.” Saud Al-Sabban, vice president and head Of Human Resources in NCB, said “Saudization is our strategic choice to develop the national human capital for the banking industry and it is one of our responsibilities in serving the community. The advanced level that NCB achieved in localizing workforce is but the result of the continuous and consistent efforts guided by a strategic vision in the development of human resources.” He added that “NCB's endeavor in this regards stems from a solid sense of social responsibility and a conviction in the role of the bank in supplying the local industry with national talents and skills. NCB carries out this responsibility through various programs and mechanisms including supporting higher education institutions and the implementation of summer training programs and coop for students, both males and females.” The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh, Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al-Jeraisy said the Riyadh's Chamber of Commerce is keen on continuing to cooperate with the private and governmental institutions in executing the training strategy which aims at the development of national workforce to meet the local market needs of skills and labor, and in turn contribute to actualizing the strategy of Saudization. Since its establishment in 1414, the training center at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry has completed the implementation of a development program that enrolled more than 24 thousand trainees and 433 qualification programs attended by more than 11 thousand trainees in addition to 164 specialized Vocational Diplomas in which 3380 participated. The partnership between NCB and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been fruitful in training and qualifying many of the bank's employees, in addition to cooperation in social responsibility programs through NCB's training program which has expanded to cover all regions in the Kingdom.
