Adel Abdulrahman and Muhammad Fatani Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH/MAKKAH – The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) has arrested a man who allegedly raped and tortured his fiancée while recording the act. The Haia ambushed the man and arrested him after finding photos and videos of the girl on his mobile phone. The man proposed to the girl and asked her family for her hand in marriage. He was accompanied by his parents during the engagement. However, the man started to have doubts about his fiancée's behavior and believed that she was having a relationship with another man. He convinced her to come with him to his mother's house, said the Haia. He then allegedly tied her hands to the bed and tied a rope around her neck before repeatedly raping and torturing her several times while videotaping her. After this incident, he started threatening that he would expose her and show the footage to her family if she uttered a word about what happened, said the commission. The woman reported him to the Haia and he was arrested immediately. Meanwhile, the Makkah Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution has started interrogating an Egyptian man who allegedly threatened a girl and tried to force to her to have an illicit relationship with him. The man, who was working for a cell phone shop, found some pictures of the girl on her phone after she brought it to the shop to get it fixed. He started to pretend that he fell in love with her at first sight and she believed him, officers said. He then allegedly started asking her to come with him to his house but she kept refusing. He then threatened to post her photos on social networking sites, said officers. She reported him to the Haia and he was arrested.
