The General Court in Makkah Sunday sentenced five Pakistanis to various jail terms ranging from three to ten years and lashes for raping a 20-year-old Burmese girl. The girl, who had a phone relationship with one of the suspects, was lured to a remote area where he and two of his friends raped and photographed her. Several days later, another man called her and claimed he was from the authorities and asked to meet her to give her the photographs, and when she did she was raped by him and one of his accomplices. The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the Hai'a, in Al-Rusayfa District, received a report from the girl and made a plan that ended with the arrest of the five.
