With regard to the article “Should women be allowed to drive?” (May 20), there is a lot that needs to be improved in our traffic education and driving permit system before both men and women can drive safely in Saudi Arabia. If we bring training and exams for a driving license to a higher standard (including controlling traffic behavior on the public roads), then slowly, slowly the safety of both males and females behind the steering wheel would improve.
