Khaled Al-Suleiman Okaz The deputy chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha), Abdullah Al-Abdul Qadir, recently described Saudi people as part of an ever-complaining society. He said the baseless complaints citizens were forwarding to Nazaha had obstructed it from doing its job properly. Those who kept Nazaha busy with baseless complaints should be ashamed of themselves. Many thieves and corrupt people have escaped unscathed because the commission was busy chasing false complaints. Do these whining citizens know that I am unable now to ask Nazaha about its achievements in fighting corruption or in bringing the corrupt to justice because they have kept it busy with their unfounded claims? Frankly speaking, these complaining citizens are one of the causes of corruption. When they distract Nazaha from its great responsibilities with their baseless complaints and annoying it with shouts and cries, the corrupt will find an opportunity to evade the commission and continue their practices, which are harming society. I, therefore, request you all to immediately stop distracting the commission and leave it alone so as to do its job. Do you not appreciate its work in looking for corruption in the branch municipalities and village administrations? I also ask Nazaha to name and shame anyone who dares to keep it busy with false complaints. At least, this will give it the opportunity to publicize someone.
