RIYADH – Tawfiq F. Al-Rabiah, Minister of Commerce and Industries and Chairman of Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON), honored Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) for being a sponsor of Industrial Innovation Award which was presented to developers of new ideas for industrial projects at a ceremony held in Riyadh. The minister presented an honorary plaque to CPC, received by Dr. Faysal Alaquil, CPC Director of Business Development and Head of CSR. Commenting on CPC sponsorship, Dr. Faysal Alaquil said: “We always seek to broaden and diversify our activities related to its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy in support of developing national industries. We were encouraged to be part of the Industrial Innovation Award because it seeks to strengthen relations between the industrial sector and the scientific, academic and funding institutions.” He pointed out that CPC is committed to support Saudi young entrepreneurs through such initiatives which motivate young people who believe in work and production. Dr. Faysal Alaquil added: “We need to provide more incentives for our youth, and the required tools and encouragement in order for them to be able to inject their creativity and skills within our society.” The objective of the award is to encourage society to innovate ideas for possible industrial projects. The award also reflects the MODON vision of developing these ideas into productive projects.— SG
