Creation of career opportunities for male and female graduates of national universities is crucial not just for their bright future, but also for the continued advancement of the country, a ranking official of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) - a Jeddah-based one-stop-shop facility for all construction needs - said.
Speaking at a Career Day organized by Effat University for Girls in Jeddah in which CPC was the Platinum sponsor, Dr. Faysal Alaquil, CPC Director of Business Development and official spokesman of the company, said the sponsorship “is based on our keen interest in providing opportunities for graduates to meet with representatives of companies and institutions, and explore possibilities in these companies as a start of their working career”.
He noted that CPC has allocated a scholarship program to the Faculty of Engineering students at Effat University, aside from being a pioneer in providing Saudi universities with specialized training program in the manufacture of building materials in line with its community service.
Dr. Alaquil, a member of the Construction and Human Resources Committees at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also affirmed the importance of company contributions to national education in Saudi Arabia, especially in the light of the government's efforts to promote science, education and research with the aim of transforming the Kingdom into a cultural community in the coming few years.
“Such contribution would help prepare university graduates to become more aware and sensitive to the changes that come with modern age and its innovation in order to continue building and work for the elevation of their home country and for the welfare of its citizens,” Dr. Alaquil emphasized.
The Career Day was under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Luluah Al-Faysal.
Dr. Haifa Rida Jamal Al-Lail, President of the university, presented an honorary plaque to Dr. Alaquil, who is serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Architecture Department at Effat University.
At the career day, Dr. Alaquil was also selected as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Board of Effat University in recognition of CPC's support to the university.
