Rahat Ali Chaudhry YANBU — Red Crescent ‘A' beat Kashmir-XI by 20 runs in the final to emerge YACA champion in the 6-over Moneygram Cricket Ke Badshah Championship at Royal Commission Ground here recently. The victory puts Pak Crescent in the Champions League alongside KFSH Blue from Riyadh and Al-Ghamdi-XI from the Eastern Province. The tournament is being played with the backing of Saudi Cricket Centre and sponsored by Moneygram Transfer Services. Local associations in their respective domains are managing the matches. Put into bat Pak Crescent racked up 74-3. Sagheer was the top scorer with an unbeaten knock of 25, while Sarfaraz added 18. Kashmir-XI, in reply, was restricted to 54 with Mohsin Shah of Pak Crescent taking 3-14 in his one over. In the first semifinal Jotun Paints was bundled out for 31 as Kashmir-XI reached the winning post of 35 without any loss in 24 balls. In the other semifinal Crystal-XI scored 56-4. Pak Crescent, in reply, moved to the final by achieving the target for the loss of one wicket in 26 balls. Earlier in the first quarterfinal, Pak Green went down to Kashmir-XI as the latter overhauled the target (44-0) in 32 balls with six wickets in hand. Crystal-XI won the second quarterfinal beating Indoor Riders by 19 runs after scoring 56. Jotun Paints defeated GT Warriors by 4 wickets as Jotun reached the winning post of 58 in 30 balls in the third quarterfinal. Pak Crescent beat Saudi-XI in the fourth quarterfinal by 21 runs after putting 73-3 on the board.
