ARAR — The head of municipality services in Al-Quwaieyah governorate imposed a fine on a cafeteria owned by his mother. A citizen complained to the municipality of a fly in a sandwich he bought from the cafeteria. The head of municipality services sent an employee and applied penalties before he realized that the cafeteria belonged to his mother. However, he said had he known the cafeteria belonged to his mother, he would have insisted harsher penalties were applied. Meanwhile, the Al-Umrah municipality branch in Makkah stormed a famous restaurant on the Makkah-Jeddah expressway and confiscated a large quantity of rotten fish and shrimp.
