The Al-Gowz Municipality in Al-Qunfudha Governorate has closed down three restaurants, a cafeteria and two groceries imposing fines on them for violating health regulations. Ahmad Al-Sarhani, Health Supervisor, said 30 rotten chickens and large quantities of rotten cakes and sweets were confiscated. Also several workers holding expired health certificates were arrested. Ibrahim Al-Faqih, chief of Al-Gowz Municipality, said all the restaurants and groceries were fined.
