RIYADH — Saudi Arabia offered condolences to South Korea over the plane crash that claimed the lives of at least 177 people. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of Saudi Arabia to the families of the victims and to the government and people of South Korea, following the passenger plane crash. The ministry expressed the Kingdom's sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, and continued safety for Korea and its friendly people. The Jeju Air flight, carrying 181 people on board, crash-landed on Sunday at Muan International Airport in the southwestern Jeolla province of the country. Two crew members – one male and one female – survived the crash and are in hospital while two others were unaccounted for, according to media reports.
