RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has expressed its solidarity with Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg over the deadly floods that have caused devastation in some areas of western Europe. In a statement on Friday, the Saudi foreign ministry expressed the Kingdom's sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the deceased, and to the governments and people of the countries affected by the devastation. The ministry also expressed wishes for the survival of the missing and a speedy recovery for the injured. According to the media reports, at least 120 people have so far died and hundreds more in western Europe are unaccounted for after some of the worst floodings in decades. In Germany, the death toll stands at over 100 while at least 20 people have lost lives in Belgium. The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland are also affected.
