ALULA — Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel inaugurated a series of healthcare projects in AlUla, accompanied by Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla Abeer Al-Akel and CEO of the Health Holding Company Nasser Al-Haqbani.
The newly inaugurated projects include the infrastructure replacement project at Prince Abdulmohsen Hospital, Ashar Urgent Care Center, and Sukhayrat Primary Healthcare Center, following the completion of necessary infrastructure upgrades and technical preparations.
During his visit, the minister conducted an on-site tour of Prince Abdulmohsen Hospital, including the intensive care units, radiology departments, and emergency facilities.
The tour also included inspections of Ashar Urgent Care Center, as well as Sukhayrat and Al-Manshiyah Primary Healthcare Centers.
These projects are part of ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services in AlUla and surrounding areas. Equipped with medical equipment and advanced technologies, these facilities offer comprehensive services, including emergency care, specialized clinics, surgery departments, and intensive care units, to meet the needs of residents, expatriates, and tourists in the region.
In addition, the minister reviewed the Prince Abdulmohsen Hospital Housing Development project, which includes model villas and residential units aimed at creating a comprehensive work environment for healthcare professionals in AlUla.
Speaking on the occasion, Al-Jalajel expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering support of the healthcare sector.
"These projects reflect the Kingdom's commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and delivering cutting-edge, comprehensive medical services to the community. We are dedicated to continuing our efforts to achieve more milestones in healthcare, aligned with the aspirations of citizens and residents," he said.
The minister also thanked all teams involved in the implementation of these projects, emphasizing the ministry's commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services across all regions of the Kingdom.
The visit also highlighted Saudi Arabia's achievements in medical education and workforce development.
Over the past 20 years, the Saudi Board has graduated more than 30,000 healthcare professionals, with a significant increase in graduates in recent years.
The 2024 cohort represents the largest in the history of the Saudi Board, with over 13,000 healthcare professionals graduating across 170 specialties after being trained in 700 centers nationwide.
