RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ministries of foreign affairs and culture for joint cooperation in strategic projects related to the cultural sector. The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh on Monday. The MoU aims to enhance joint cooperation in the cultural sector and to continue raising the level of existing coordination between the ministries of foreign affairs and culture in various fields, including their close cooperation in activating the path of international cultural exchange as one of the goals of the National Strategy for Culture emanating from the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The MoU will contribute to consolidate the status of national culture and heritage, and harmonize government agencies with regard to the cultural sector in the Kingdom. The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Hamid Fayez, Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan Al-Touq, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multiple International Affairs and the General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Agency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Risi, and Deputy Minister of Culture for International Relations Eng. Fahd Al-Kanaan
