RIYADH — Al-Hilal has temporarily risen to the second position in the Saudi Professional League standings after a convincing 2-0 win against Al-Ettifaq on Monday, during the fourth round of the competition. Al-Hilal sealed their victory with two goals, both scored in the first half. Brazilian player Malcom de Oliveira netted the first goal in the 24th minute, followed by Salem Al-Dawsari's contribution in the 41st minute. With this win, Al-Hilal's points tally reached ten, propelling them temporarily to the second position in the league table. Al-Ettifaq, on the other hand, has a total of seven points and occupies the fifth spot. The match saw new head coach of the Saudi Arabian national football team Roberto Mancini attending the game. In another match that took place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Al-Raed secured a resounding 3-0 victory against Al-Riyadh. Mohamed Fouzair found the back of the net twice, scoring the first and second goals in the 18th and 45th minutes respectively. Algerian player Amir Sayoud added the third goal in the 68th minute. This victory marked Al-Raed's first win of the season, allowing them to move up from the bottom of the table to the thirteenth position. Meanwhile, Al-Riyadh's points total stands at four, placing them in the tenth spot.
